Marketing and Promotions Manager for BTGN
Here at BTGN we take pride in our short stories and full-length romance works. We love our authors and strive to work with them as well as promote their works in a way that is both efficient and successful.
We often field questions about the landscape of the publishing market. Five years ago it was very different from today--five years ago the 'gold rush' was on and Amazon was the home front. Yet again, the market is changing. Amazon is still a front runner, but competition is fierce (especially for self-published authors). At BTGN, we are proud to say we are going strong, and acquiring more works than ever.
Each and every day we are working behind the scenes to make sure we have our ear on the ground, watching the markets and ever-changing trends. Recently, I was sent an article that accurately reflects the new face of publishing (as of 2013). If you are an author, or are thinking about becoming an author, you should read Bob Meyer's How Have Things Changed In the Last Three Years of Indie Publishing.
Bob Meyer is a man who is extremely well-versed in publishing and is an active public speaker. If you get the chance, I strongly recommend attending one of his many classes.
Please feel free to leave appropriate comments and ask questions.

I know Bob Meyer's business partner, Jen Talty, personally and I've have learned so much from her. She's always quoting Bob. The two of them make a great team and I can attest to the fact that it's well worth it to attend one of his classes.
ReplyDeleteTwo years ago my romance chapter booked him for a one day class. He's an excellent speaker and the class was very informative.
